Hamburg, Milan & US Visa Interview

So a lot has been going on in the last few days/weeks. I went to Hamburg, it was extremely cold, but it's a pretty city and very vintage.

I couldn't really enjoy my time in Hamburg because I had severe toothache. On the way to Hamburg, I thought I was going to go out of my mind from the pain. And believe me, the pain just got worse up in the air, the pressure is not something to underestimate.

So when I got back from Hamburg, I made an emergency booking at one of the Dentists in Dubai, I went there on the same day we landed, I couldn't even go home to sleep first but the pain was just too much.

Dentist told me I need 2 root canals done as soon as possible, now it will cost almost 5000 AED to get that done and I would have to pay it cash.... there is no ways I am doing that. So I told her I would rather get my teeth properly checked out when I go back to my home country, only issue is, it's only in a month. So, she prescribed some heavy medication for the pain, it seems to be helping but the pain comes back every few hours when the meds has worn off. I can't wait to get this sorted out!!

Right now, I am in Milan, Italy :) it's okay, winter here at the moment and we are staying at the Sheraton Hotel which is situated inside the Airport... so we are not close to the city, which sucks :( No sight seeing for me then, because I decided I want to save the euros for when I go back to South Africa, will be good spending money :)

We fly back tonight, will land tomorrow morning, I have Friday off and then I have a turnaround flight on Saturday to Karachi :s and then again fly on Sunday to Hamburg for a second time... After that it's just Shangai at the end of the month.

Oh I also have some other good news (almost forgot to share) - My US Visa Interview is scheduled for the 9th of April!! So soon, I will get the opportunity to visit the US - watch out New York!!!

That's pretty much it for now :) below, some pics of when I was in Hamburg, the hotel is so pretty & stylish!

Mauritius 2nd time, ticket to go home booked & confirmed!! & other things

I am a very happy girl today! My flight ticket has been booked and confirmed! I will fly out on the 17th of April at 04:40 and will land in beautiful South Africa at 10:50 local time. I am too excited!

Hopefully they will allocated me a day off on the 16th so that I can move my booking a day earlier... the more time I can spend with my family the better :)

So I had the pleasure of going to Mauritius for a second time, it was so nice. Really nice crew, made friends with this one girl from Germany and also bought some nice food items at Pick 'n Pay. Pick 'n Pay is a well known shop you can find everywhere in South Africa.

Here are the food I bought with my allowance money from Emirates:

It's amazing isn't it?
I'm pretty sure these items won't last long :P

Anyways so tomorrow I fly to Bangkok. It's going to be a 4-sector trip meaning: Dubai - Bangkok. Then layover at Bangkok for 24 hours. Then we fly Bangkok - Hong Kong. Then we're sitting at the Emirates Lounge for 4 hours in the Airport. Then we fly back to Bangkok. Then layover at Bangkok for another 24hours. Only then do we fly back to Dubai... I'm going to be tired I know. Flying with the A380 so 26-27 cabin crew. Small galleys :( I prefer flying with Boeing. It's just more simple and less passengers.

I have also been assigned as the Duty Free Operator on tomorrow's flight. :( Will be my first time ever, I don't have a clue what to do honestly. So, will be stressful. But, guess I have to learn sometime sooner than later. Luckily it's the only A380 flight I have for this month :)

Below, another picture from Mauritius, also 2 photos of my babies, my COSMO and VOGUE. I seriously can't wait to see them in April & Of course my sexy man!!!

Sao Paulo, Brazil!

Sao Paulo was very nice, not exactly what I was expecting, however, still a pleasant city and we stayed at the best hotel so far (well according to me that is) It's a beautiful hotel (The Hyatt), had the most amazing bathroom and they make the stay just extra special!

It was a tiring flight, duration was just over 14 hours going to Sao Paulo and just about 14 hours coming back to Dubai, but we were circling for a few minutes as well before we eventually landed back into Dubai.

Sao Paulo is quite a poor city, drugs are known to be very high in this particular city, so there really isn't much to do except going to the mall, and walking around a bit, which one should also be careful of, because you don't know which drug sellers you're walking next to.

The crew were very nice, there was no problems during the flight. We also had the opportunity of taking our rest in the CRC. The CRC stands for "Crew Rest Compartment" which consist of bunk beds so it's very small but it serves its purpose. Each of us got 3 hours rest, however you find it difficult to really have a good sleep because you keep waking up from turbulence or just the general noise of the aircraft.
Still, let me tell you, those 3 hours of relaxing was amazing!

So, back in Dubai, this is my last day off, I fly tomorrow morning at 3am to Mauritius again :) hopefully the weather will be better this time so that I can go to one of the beaches.

Also, hopefully soon we will find out about my fiancé's possible job opportunity here in Dubai, I have all my fingers crossed that we will receive good news! I need to have my baby here in Dubai as soon as possible!
